Contend for the Faith
1:1 Jude, bondman of Jesus Christ and brother of James, to the ones having been sanctified in God the Father and of Jesus Christ being kept — called ones. 1:2 Mercy to you and may peace and love be multiplied. 1:3 Beloved, having all diligence to write to you concerning the common deliverance, I had necessity to write to you, exhorting you to contend earnestly in the belief once delivered up to the holy ones.
Beware of Evil Men
1:4 For crept in certain men, the ones earlier being written about beforehand in this judgment — impious, transposing the favor of our God into lewdness and God the only Master and our Lord Jesus Christ denying. 1:5 And I want to remind you, you once knowing this, that the Lord having delivered people from out of the land of Egypt, the second of the ones not believing He destroyed. 1:6 Also angels not keeping their own sovereignty, but leaving their own dwelling-place, He keeps in everlasting bonds under the infernal region for a day of great judgment. 1:7 As Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them likened to these in manner given themselves to fornication and having gone after other flesh, are situated as an example, undergoing punishment of eternal fire. 1:8 In like manner, however, also these dreaming ones, indeed defile the flesh and annul lordships and blaspheme glorious things. 1:9 And Michael the archangel, when litigating against the devil, reasoned concerning Moses’s body, did not dare to bear a blasphemous case, but said, May the Lord reproach you. 1:10 But these indeed as many things as they know not of, they blaspheme; and as many things as they physically have knowledge of as illogical living creatures, in these things they corrupt themselves. 1:11 Woe to them, for in the way of Cain they went and in the delusion of Balaam for a wage they shed and in the dispute of Core perished. 1:12 These are in your love feasts as hidden reefs, feasting together among you, fearlessly tending themselves; waterless clouds being carried about by winds; unfruitful autumnal trees twice having died, being rooted out; 1:13 wild waves of the sea foaming up their own shame; wandering stars, ones to whom the infernal region of darkness is being kept into the eon. 1:14 And also Enoch the seventh from Adam prophesied to these, saying, Behold, the Lord came with His holy myriads, 1:15 executing judgment against all and to reprove all the impious of them concerning all the works of their impiety which they were impious; and concerning all of the hard things which impious sinners spoke against Him. 1:16 These are grumblers being discontented, going according to their desires; and their mouth speaks pompous things, admiring a person for the benefit of favor.
Regarding the End Time
1:17 But you beloved, remember the sayings! the ones being described beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1:18 For they said to you, that in the end of time there will be mockers going according to their own desires of the impious deeds. 1:19 These are the ones separating bounds, physical, not having Spirit. 1:20 But you, beloved, building up yourselves, in your most holy belief, praying in Holy Spirit. 1:21 keep yourselves in love of God! waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, unto life eternal. 1:22 And indeed on some show mercy, scrutinizing! 1:23 And some with fear, deliver from the fire by seizing! Detesting even the inner garment being stained by the flesh. 1:24 But to Him being able to keep them steady and to stand them in front of His glory unblemished in exultation, 1:25 to the only wise God, our deliverer, be glory and greatness, might and authority, even now and into all the eons. Amen.
