Something that impressed me as a little fellow was that the Lord is not only with me, He is for me. He is not against me. That awareness has always filled my life as I have gone through different experiences over the years: sickness, health, poverty, wealth, good relationships, and hard relationships. What has always stayed with me is that the Lord is with me now, and He will not leave and He will not forsake me.
Sometimes you are understood, sometimes you are misunderstood. But the Lord is always true. Learn to draw near to the Lord, and He will draw near to you.
He wants His presence to become more real than your own presence, more real than your own life, more real than everybody and everything around you.
When you learn the following, and have them in your heart, you will be over the top in everything in life. The Lord gave me these four things to share with His people around the world:
God loves us with an everlasting love. “I have loved you with an everlasting love, I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” (Jeremiah 31:3) It never fades, it never changes.
He will not ever leave us or forsake us. (Joshua 1:5b) “So we may boldly say: ‘the Lord is my helper, I will not fear. What can man do to me’?” (Hebrews 13:6) The Lord will never separate from us. “Nothing can separate us from the love of God that is ours in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:39)
“ ‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” (Jeremiah 29:11)
We are created to be to the praise of God’s glory. He has a purpose for us, and whatever we do, we do with all our hearts in the name of Jesus to the glory of God. (Ephesians 1:4-6)
I find that as I go through life I have to be aware of the presence of the Lord. He is in our midst. Wherever I go, He is. He has gone ahead of me into my future. He knows what I will go through before I go through it, and He has a provision waiting for whatever I will face.
